STUDENTS’ PERCEPTIONS OF THE USE OF ZOOM AND WHATSAPP IN ELT AMIDST COVID19 PANDEMIC

During the Covid19 pandemic, online learning platforms are solutions to sustain English Language Teaching (ELT). It is an appropriate option for lecturers deliver course materials amidst covid19 outbreak. Some of most frequently used Zoom and WhatsApp. The purpose this study describe EFL university students’ perceptions use WhatsApp in ELT. A virtual class form was created enable students remotely attend at same time keep line with health protocol. This involved 53 as respondents. data were obtained through online-based questionnaire analyzed based on a mixed method approach by combining quantitative qualitative method. result revealed that ELT University considered positive learners. Although availability slow speed internet connection being problems them ELT, they also rated effective efficient terms time, place expense. Moreover, learners agreed those two can help improve language skills reduce shyness interaction.
